Executive Director

The Calgary Police Foundation (CPF) was established in 2010 to partner exclusively with the Calgary Police Service (CPS). The CPF works to raise annual funds to invest in 6 dynamic community youth-based programs with the goal of reduced youth victimization and criminal activity by focusing on education, prevention and early intervention (YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre, Youth At Risk Development Program (YARD), Multi Agency School Support Team (MASST), Calgary Police Cadet Corps, Integrated School Support Program (ISSP), and Power Play). These programs do not receive government funding and are all collaborative initiatives between the CPS and its community partners.
Operating independently from the City and funding programs outside of the normal operating budget of the CPS, the CPF targets areas where the need is greatest and implements these programs where they will have the most impact on our children, youth and families by changing lives and saving lives. CPF funded programs empower our children, keep them safe, and enrich our community.
Reporting directly to a high-profile Board of Directors, and supporting the vision of the organization, the Executive Director is accountable to raise the awareness of the organization, lead the strategic planning, fund development, partnership and relationship management, budgetary oversight and day to day operational responsibilities of the foundation. This opportunity positions the Executive Director as an ambassador and advocate assisting the organization to raise critical funds that will achieve social impact in Calgary.
The successful candidate will have earned an undergraduate degree along with their relevant work experience; a Master’s degree is considered an asset. With a disciplined financial and business acumen, and operational expertise this individual also brings a team orientation and multi-tasking capabilities. The ideal candidate is a passionate, engaging leader whose fund development experience and relationship building skills will help to create and maintain connections with strategic partners, donors and community leaders.
With the support of the Calgary Police Foundation, our community becomes even safer, and a great place to live, work and raise our families. This role is your chance to make a lasting impact on Calgary’s future.
