Promising Futures – Monthly Giving Program

Become a monthly donor and join Promising Futures – the Calgary Police Foundation’s monthly giving program to provide your support to Calgary’s most vulnerable and at-risk children and youth – children who, for many reasons, are at risk of taking part in crime, or may become a victim of it.

With your monthly gift, we will be able to fund six unique and customised Programs that offer children and youth most at need with education, prevention, early intervention and risk reduction resources in conjunction with the Calgary Police Service. All Programs provide intensive wrap-around support intended to help break the cycle of crime and prevent children and youth from becoming a victim of it.

By becoming a Promising Futures monthly donor, you are joining other thoughtful Calgarians who want to build a city where families can thrive and all children can reach their full potential. You are joining a movement towards a safer, healthier community for all Calgarians and are helping to shape our future.

Donate a Car Canada
Donate a Car Canada accepts Vehicle Donations for the Calgary Police Foundation. Free towing is provided in most areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donations. When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to the Calgary Police Foundation through Donate a Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on the condition, age, and location).

Donate a Car Canada will look after all the details to make it easy for the Calgary Police Foundation to benefit. After your vehicle donation is complete, the Calgary Police Foundation will send you a tax receipt and will put your gift to good use. Please click here to donate a vehicle.

Corporate Matching
Corporations may engage in a matching gift or employee volunteer program whereby corporations match employee’s donation, dollar-for-dollar, or employers contribute to the Foundation if employees donate their time. It’s a great way to double your donation!

Pledge Program
Multi-year pledging is an excellent way to make a substantial gift over time. Rather than one lump sum, pledges can be made annually, semi-annually or monthly. The Calgary Police Foundation will issue taxable donation receipts each time a pledge payment is made or at the end of each calendar year.

Gifts In-Kind
Gifts to the Calgary Police Foundation do not have to come in the form of money. Gifts in-kind can be products and/or services of value to the Foundation. Please contact us to find out more.

Leave a Legacy – Planned Giving
Making a gift through a Will makes it possible for everyone to leave a legacy of good works.  A charitable gift from an estate is a way to express compassion and provide support for a cause beyond one’s lifetime.

With foresight, dedication and a little planning, almost every person can make a difference during their life and beyond.   By planning your estate to include a gift to the Calgary Police Foundation, you can help create an infrastructure that is better able to respond to the vital needs of our youth.

Your gift to the Calgary Police Foundation will be an enduring expression of leadership to create a better community.

Planned gifts are not limited to a charitable bequest.  Gifts of a life insurance policy or a remaining portion of a fund held in trust may also be given. A planned gift can be given now, or deferred, and can be planned to consider tax issues.

If you are interested in discussing a planned gift for the Calgary Police Foundation, please contact Barb Pohl, Sr. Director of Community Engagement at 403-428-4558 or email at bpohl@calgarypolice.ca.

Thank you for your support and generosity as we invest in a safer Calgary.
